I can already see you rolling your eyes because I know, we have been conditioned to #hate our period. I mean what is there to like right?!
#pms up to 2 weeks before the actual menstruation phase
then come the bleeding with cramps, headache, low energy, the mood swings just to name a few.
For me having my period was the time of “SHAME”.
Having to be so vulnerable and no way I’ll be “that woman” who gonna use the excuse “but I have my period”. I had to toughen up.
And of course, between us, woman, we can all share our frustrations and play the game: - yes but me… of who has the worst symptoms.
No one wants to win at that comparison game and yet you secretly do because you are now a #victim
It is that COMMON that we actually believe it is NORMAL.
Do you truly believe that we are meant to suffer and be in pain for more than half our existence?!
I actually used to, but AMEN this is all in the past tense NOW.
No more PMS, and no more awful & painful period.
I now fully embrace my femininity, and when “day one” comes, I know exactly what I need to do to thrive while bleeding
